Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar while presenting the budget announced the launch of the Ladaki Bahin Yojana for women in the age group of 21 to 65 years in order to make the women of Maharashtra self-reliant and financially supported.
Ladki Bahin Yojana is set to pay Rs 1500 per month and will add an additional burden of Rs 46000 crore to Maharashtra’s exchequer but is said to be a significant step towards women empowerment and development.
